Foothill AssociatesFoothill Associates is currently working with the City of Lincoln on the Markham Ravine Nature Area Project. They are working closely with Restoration Resources in this endeavor. The project includes the restoration and installation of native trees, shrubs, vines, grasses and forbs in appropriate locations to enhance wildlife habitat and improve aesthetic appearance of the nature area. Within the corridor we are designing a full multiple use trail system, including interpretive signage, pedestrian bridge crossings, picnic areas, and a nature interpretive center. The Foothill team will also be recommending new overflow channels and wetland basins in the project area to increase storm water management options and habitat diversity within the corridor. All of the design, engineering, environmental documentation, and special studies are being performed according to provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Additionally, Foothill Associates is facilitating preparing all of the environmental permitting and will be preparing the Adaptive Management Plan for the area. The Markham Ravine project implementation will span several years in duration. During this time Foothill Associates and Restoration Resources will be communicating ongoing activities and findings to the Lincoln community. You will also find important information related to the Foothill Associates activities to implement the Markham Ravine Nature Area Project within the Markham Ravine website's Project Information menu section.
