5th Annual Lincoln Creek Day Celebration

Let's help our wetlands stay clean and renew our sense of wonder with nature.

Celebrate Creek Day with the Lincoln Open Space Committee by volunteering to remove trash and debris from four creeksite locations. Click here for a print version of the Lincoln Creek Day flyer.

  • Saturday, April 19, 2008 – 8:30 a.m. sign in
  • 9:00 a.m. to Noon, clean-up at the following locations:
    • Markham Park – Toyon Circle
    • North Teal Hollow – Nicolaus Road to Teal Hollow, 1/4 mile stretch
    • Auburn Ravine – Moore Road at Joiner Road parking lot
    • Brookview Markham Ravine – Fifth Street to Savannah Drive

Following the clean-up, volunteers are invited to a free hot dog BBQ lunch at 12:30 at Markham Park for anyone who would like to attend. The luncheon is sponsored and provided by Circle K of Lincoln.

What to wear: Boots, gloves, hat, and long pants. Use insect repellant and sunscreen.
What's provided: Trash bags and pick-up sticks
